Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Sinfully miserable barman who barely acknowledged us, no atmosphere (huge tv's in a small bar showing a nature programme...) and for an Irish pub the Guinness was poor. One of the most unwelcoming pubs I've been to in London.

Not a bad place, split into two bars, but prices aren't too bad for a London pub. Seems like a popular place, but enough off the beaten track to not be too busy.

Pound for pound, this is the best pub in London. Or at least that is my opinion. I love coming here whenever I am in London, and have been doing so on and off since about 2004. It is located on Tonbridge Street and is ideally placed for people who are travelling in or out of Kings Cross Station or St Pancras International.

I'm thrilled that this place never seems to change that much. It has a lovely friendly atmosphere, however you need to be made aware that this is a Newcastle United supporters pub, so whenever Newcastle are playing on TV, and particularly when Newcastle are playing in London, this pub is absolutely rammed. You can't move for Black & White. Basically, if you are from Sunderland, give it a miss.

The rest of the time this is just a lovely, quiet Irish pub tucked away on a quiet side road behind Kings Cross Station.

It does, bizarrely, specialise on Peruvian food. Quite how an Irish pub, frequented by Geordies, in the heart of Camden came to be specialists in Peruvian food is anyone's guess, but nevertheless, it is the case.

I have never eaten here, though it is on my list of things to do, but I have often seen the food being served, and it looks incredible!!

The staff are lovely, the beer choice is solid  the aforementioned food looks amazing, and all in all, this is a quality pub that I hope to go back to many more times yet. If only it were in Codnor...

Horrible man behind the bar, no concern that I was the customer! They had a horrible wine selection, dirty bathrooms, would not recommend.

I got berated by a staff member for ordering non-alcoholic drinks and then over charged me.

I love this pub as a Newcastle fan and love the food, however, on 25 Oct 2023 I went and a staff member berated me for buying a Guiness and two lime and sodas.

I was with two friends that have issues with alcohol and I am careful to avoid stigmatising their choice of not drinking alcohol (in fact I am pleased that they don’t drink as they seem healthier and happier).

When I went to the bar I asked for two lime and sodas and a Guiness and the bar tender (young man with moustache) replied twice saying ‘why are you in a pub if you are ordering that?’ And ‘why bother coming to a pub to order that?’.

I shook off the comments and the comments alone probably wouldn’t have motivated me to write this but then the bar tender changed me £14.50 for the order clearly over charging me for what should have been under £10.

As if the berating wasn’t enough he charged me as punishment for ordering lime and sodas for my mates.

Disgusting behaviour from him and really disappointed a pub I love would let this behaviour slide - simply not an acceptable way to discuss the issue of alcohol consumption.

I found this pub by chance when staying near Kings Cross Station and it is an absolute gem, the Service and food are both excellent , I had the lamb stew with Peruvian spices and rice and it was superb, I would highly recommend this as a great place to meet friends, have a great meal and a cold beer.

Have to say was very disappointed with the beer, service and food. Not like any Irish Pub I’ve been in before.

I found this pub my chance and what a find. A local pub with some of the best Peruvian food I've had in the UK.

The food is well prepared and fresh. I was so happy with the Aji de Gallina. Rich flavours and a good portion as well. I can recommend this place as somewhere that should be on your list, if you are in or around Kings Cross.

Everything what one can expect of a night in the pub. Great crowd and atmosphere. The food is a welcome surprise. A bit hidden in a back street but worth a visit

We wanted a proper pub when staying in the King’s Cross area. So happy we found this gem. Good beer, nice Prosecco (in the small bottles), prices I would say below average for the area, proper juke box and friendly locals and great service.
Thanks for having us!
