After visiting the theatre to see School of rock musical we came out wanting a meal. Even though it was around 10.00 at night we were welcomed just down the road to the Indian Restaurant.
There was a few couples in there, but plenty of tables available.
We had 2 starters and 2 main. The food was piping hot and delicious.
The price was very reasonable, and the drinks were good value.
Great choice will visit her again.

The dominant feature in this London street is the monolithic headquarters of Masonry in the UK, housing its Grand Lodge and many other functions of the organisation. But there’s also a hotel and the Grand Connaught Rooms complex of banqueting facilities. On the other side of the street there are a number of pubs and restaurants, including the iconic Bhatti curry house which has been serving good Indian food for decades. Well worth exploring.

Always our go to place for good service, great pies and oysters, and very reasonable bill at the end . My only gripe is no champagne by the glass only served by the bottle, which when my husband is on his martini cocktails is too much for me and then it's prosseco which definitely doesn't cut it . Please Great Queen St have a rethink !! Every thing else is lovely .

If you happen to be a Freemason this is the Street which houses the Head quaters of The United Grand Lodge of England. It also has a great variety of different food establishments and I am sure you will find something takes your fancy. Going round the corner you will find The Gillian Lynne Theatre formerly known as The New London. Dame Gillian was the choreographer of "Cats" and it was their home for many years. To get back to Great Queen Street although small it is definitely part of Covent Garden so go and see it and whilst you are at it take the tour of Freemasons Hall as the building is an icon and you do not have to be a Freemason.

Some people seem to have this street confused with a restaurant, it is a street in Covent Garden full of shops, restaurants and things to see and do. Very cool street in general check it out.

Great little restaurant fast friendly service and very good food.

Had a selection of sides (prawn tempura, soft shell crab and salmon) and porkramen - all amazing!

Good value for money in central London too.

Places to eat, drink and shop. Enough said. Nice part of London and lots to do. It is a bit of a tourist Mecca.

Bustling eatery in Covent Garden with lovely attentive staff. We had the 7-hour slow cooked lamb leg which easily served four, with melting vegetables and fabulous flavour. Came with buttered greens and potato dauphinois. Fantastic. And my entree of buffalo mozzarella came unexpectedly with wilted greens (I could have asked!) in a way I’ve not had before and really liked. Bravo.

Great Queen Street links Covent Garden/Drury Lane to Holborn area of London.
Plenty of restaurants line the street together with some smaller interesting shops.
I have no real interest in freemasonry so have to confess I didn't take too much notice of The Masonic Hall.

While staying in London again, we spent a morning in the Covent Garden neighbourhood. After we had completed our activities there, we decided to move on for a walk along a part of High Holborn.
The best route to take to reach High Holborn was via a stroll along Great Queen Street. We had not taken this route previously and so we were not aware of what Great Queen Street had to offer.
As we made our way along the street, we found a number of restaurants, cafes and small shops. It was around lunchtime and many of the cafes and restaurants were well patronised.
The footpaths were busy with a combination of both tourists and local workers, coming and going.
A busy city street lacking in anything of real interest to tourists other than cafes and restaurants!
