About
The building of the Nedbalka Gallery hides an impressive interior featuring an internal structure resembling the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Its four floors provide space for a permanent exhibition dedicated to the birth and development of modernism in Slovakia. The history of painting and sculpture in Slovakia in the 20th century is well documented by works by L. Mednyánszky, D. Skutezký, M. Galanda, M. Benka, M. Laluha and many others who fundamentally influenced the development of art in Slovakia. On the ground floor, the visitors will find the latest of the series of exhibitions primarily dedicated to works by Slovak artists.

    Nedbalka Gallery, Bratislava in June
Lots interesting work on show over 4 floors. Inside of building is impressive and is laid out in a way that makes it a pleasure to walk around. Start at the top and work you way down. Free drink included in price in the café on 2nd floor. Directly outside the window of the cafe is the umbrella installation.
Dear CM, thanks for the feedback!

    An experience to remember!
In a downtown alley with artistic umbrellas hanging from above you’ll find this wonderful gallery. The inside of the building is a work of art itself. The artworks are from various Slovak artists and in my opinion, it can be compared to any internationally recognized artists’ work. I loved many of them and I’m sure everyone can find something that speaks to their heart. It is not a very big gallery but not small either, the perfect size to visit when you are a tourist walking all day. The tickets are not at all expensive (€6 for adults) and you get a free coffee with it. The area around the elevators on every floor are artistically featured, there are benches to rest with albums of the artists’ works of art and information. No security hanging above your every step as in other galleries. So, everything is carefully and thoroughly displayed to make you comfortable and enjoy art in your own way and I got the feeling of warmth and well-being. I think this gallery is one of the places you should definitely visit when in Bratislava even if you’re just for a couple of days.
Thank you for the lovely feedback!

    Really Neat Art Gallery
A really neat art gallery with a wide variety of works on display in a tasteful and well maintained space. The gallery encompasses several floors and entrance fee included a tea at the in house cafeteria/gift shop. Lovely

Very nice and doable 4 floor gallery of Slovakian modern art. Not on our radar but passed by and glad we went. Well worth the admission.

Lovely interior gallery space, a "mini-Guggenheim" feel. The featured artists are mostly native Slovaks, with works going back to 1900 or so to contemporary. Very interesting and a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours in old town Bratislava. There is a small cafe, and you get a token for a good coffee as part of the low entrance fee. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely gallery space, the staff is friendly, and the free coffee with every admission is a nice touch. A good selection of Slovakian modern art, probably better than in the National Gallery.

Odd to have no new reviews for almost a year. Opens at 1, closes at 7. Just 4 € for seniors! All is modern art. Recommend one Do first floor temporary exhibit first.
Art is all Slovakian and quite interesting. Is it MOMA quality? No, of course not, but the excellent curating and friendly staff make up for it’s understandable lack of world class art work.

Doable in 1-2 hours. Easy to find in old town. Anyone with interest in modern art will definitely enjoy!

Nedbalka Gallery may not be a very big one but it is certainly worth visiting because of its unique interior architecture.Start browsing at the artworks from the top floor before start walking your way to the lower floors.
